Why record live ?

Recording a live concert is the best way to capture the raw energy and spontaneity that only a group of performers playing live can generate. A live performance, is a live performance.

Think of all of the bands that have recorded live in the past, and have that as a starting point of their bands career. Jet, The Hovercraft, The Suits, The Basco Era, British India and 67 Special just to name a few. The recordings may not seem much at the time, but in years to come when the band have made it, and have a live multi-track recording to release of their earlier days, it will be something worth having.

A live recording can also be recorded, mixed and then added to your favourite mp3 music site (e.g. myspace or mp3.com.au) and released on these sites to give your audience a listen to what you sound like live, without the expense of making CD's.
